Entry to employment training programmes

The SAZ works with a range of local partners and a network of other learning providers to deliver a variety of vocational training programmes including: FA Level 1, Community Sports Leaders Award, Basketball Level 1, First Aid and Child Protection.

By providing high quality teaching and focusing on the needs of learners and employers, more than 200 16-24yr olds in Lambeth and Southwark have been through our training programmes and many have either gone onto other vocational training or mainstream education programmes or are now working within the community and voluntary sector themselves.

Personal Attainment and Community Training (PACT)

This is a cross borough programme addressing the issues of youth crime. The programme targets young people aged 13-21 through a focused programme of education, learning and personal development. It also provides a workforce development programme for sports coaches incorporating equalities, youth work and partnership training.

Delivered in partnership with private sector training providers, local partners and crime prevention agencies this programme raises awareness of sports based crime prevention initiatives throughout the area.
