The SAZ continues to make a real difference to the sporting opportunities of the residents in North Lambeth and North Southwark. We don’t have much money but the hard work and enthusiasm of the SAZ team has meant that partnerships have been built to maximise resources. We all hope that the continued work that is being done will mean sustained sporting benefits for everyone. I am proud of what has been achieved so far.

We are very fortunate to be London’s Sport Action Zone. Under Brian Dickens’ inspiring leadership we have really taken off. Many people of all ages now benefit from the initiatives bringing fitness and sporting opportunities to them and near to their doorstep. We are also building the links and the structures to spread these chances for the future, and working to build up Lambeth and Southwark Councils voluntary organisations so they can do even better in the years ahead. Hopefully we are building a new sporting culture that will never slip back. |
